Many online services are now possible for people to make audio and video calls over the Internet. Among the most popular are Google Chat, Yahoo Messenger, and Skype. If you have a laptop, or netbook, and you travel frequently, you will find this service very convenient for keeping in touch with colleagues, family and friends. Since almost all newer laptops and netbooks already built-in audio device, using these chat services is almost plug and play. However, you can earn more comfortable if you use a Bluetooth headset with your laptop. How is this so?
question essentially lies in the built-in audio device in your laptop or netbook. Your laptop computer may be audio speakers built into the notebook itself is built-in microphone. With these devices, but you can use online chat service with no external wires or cables. Now, two possible inconvenience can be seen in this situation.
The first inconvenience is that the wiretap. If you talk with your laptop in a public place, people nearby will be able to hear the conversation through the speakers on the laptop. To get around this, you can use headphones. But compared with traditional wired headphones and Bluetooth wireless-powered handset, the latter wins the race hands down.
The second inconvenience has something to do with the mic. Most laptop microphones are sensitive enough to pick up sound from a comfortable radius. But if you use this in a public place, your microphone can also pick up lots of ambient noise. Compared with a Bluetooth headset with built-in microphone, wireless solution again leads the race.
Since the Bluetooth headset is two in one audio input (eg microphone) and output devices (ie headset speakers), you can actually use it instead of your laptop's built-in speaker and microphone. More than that, get an extra advantage: wireless mobility. It simply means that you will not need cables and wires for you to be able to keep your conversations private. It also means that you no longer have to bend forward to your laptop's microphone so that it can be heard clearly. Last of all, it means that you can just leave your laptop in a bag or somewhere away from you and still be able to talk hands-free (that is, until the handset is within signal range of laptops).
At the end of the day, it's all just a matter of convenience and comfort. For most people, their laptops' built-in audio device is sufficient. But for many other Bluetooth headsets offer greater convenience and practical comfort.
